Hey Folks,
We had a fun time from ~9:30-11:00 on Saturday night visiting and
getting to know one another a little better during the first WBMUTBB
Chapter online meeting!
There were 8 or 9 of us who actually "phoned" in and were talking to one
another with our voices. Another 8-10 people that dropped in to listen
to the "party line" who text chatted with us. I also had a live video
feed running from WBMUTBB HQ here in Huntsville, AL that folks were
welcome to watch. It wasn't much...just me talking and showing off a few
Mayberry related items like my son Adam wearing Goober's hat when he was
a baby.
It was a fine turnout and I believe a good time was had by all.
Hopefully some of them will write in with reports.
The meeting lasted for more than it's scheduled one hour scheduled time
but the minutes seemed to fly by to me. Don't worry, folks came and
went so there was no requirement to be there the whole time. We were
just glad folks jumped in where they could and hung on for as much of
our visit as they could.
Such a good time was had that there was talk about trying to have online
meetings on some type of regular schedule. That said, if folks are up
it, I'll schedule another chapter meeting for late in January or some
time in February if folks would like to try it. We'll do it on the
weekend so your cell phone minutes will be "free" and you can call in to
visit.
Next time, I think we'll record the conversation so folks that didn't
make it can listen to it OR so I could use parts on the Two Chairs No
Waiting podcast. We'll have to see how it goes but I'm always looking
for ways to allow us to get to know one another just a bit better.
So, happy five thousand and first issue to all the WBMUTBB Chapter
members and here's to another 5, 000 issues!!
