I can't imagine calling my parents or other older relatives by their first name without a title before it. My nieces and nephews must call me Aunt Neenee until they reach the age of 21 and thereafter may use my first name. I firmly feel that having children use a title instills a sense of manners and courtesy, not to mention respect but that's just how I was raised. I prefer other children to either address me as Mrs. Johnson or Miss Janine on the same principle. Those are my thoughts and I was surprised at the informality in Mayberry too, especially since it was so Southern. I guess the script writers weren't! Aunt Bee of Orlando
