Today on TVLand I was watching the first scene of the first show. While Andy
is performing the marriage ceremony, he is wearing a dark suit coat. But it
appears that he is wearing it over his uniform. It is hard to tell much about
the shirt, but I am almost sure the pants are his uniform pants.
One more thing about Nice Dress Nellie. Those are the exact words Andy says to
her when she exits the cell. Like a few people said, it was in the first year
in the episode where Andy left town and Barney locked up the whole town. As
each person left the cell, Andy made a comment to each one. When he got to
Nellie, he said "Nice dress Nellie". I think my most obscure sighting of
Nellie is the episode where Gomer gets fired. At the end when all of the town
people bring their cars to the Taylor house, Nice Dress Nellie brings her car
also.

Except on Sunday to meeting, then I get out my brand new overalls. Martha is
so proud.
