Ah, so Allan is admitting to being Negative Nelly. Seems to me I remember her (him?)in some background shots with Tom Jacobs and Mr. Schwump. Tom would being talking while Schwump would be nodding and smiling; Nelly would be frowning and shaking her head side to side (thus her moniker).
