Off the top of my head for TAGS actors on 'Matlock', I can think of Betty Lynn, Pat Hingle, William Schallert, Jack Dodson, Arlene Golonka, Amzie Strickland, Bo Hopkins, Aneta Corsaut, and Don Knotts. (Everett Greenbaum- the prolific TAGS writer-played "Judge Katz.") BTW, James Best would have made a great guest actor on 'Matlock', given his good performance on the Fred Silverman produced 'In the Heat of the Night.'
