Growing up in a small town we too sought out old abandoned houses to explore
at night. My friends and I were planning on taking some girls out to an old
house one night to show them how brave we were. We picked the girls up as
scheduled and proceeded to the old "haunted house". It was a very large old
abandoned farm house with a very long driveway. We parked on the road and
walked up the driveway. We entered the house with the girls in hand and
just a few flashlights. As we were walking along one of the guys bumped
into something on the floor. When he shined his light on it there was a
body. We took off running so fast it was unreal. We were half way down the
driveway when we heard laughter from behind. When we stopped to see who was
laughing, there were some of our classmates. They had overheard us making
plans in school and decided to scare the bajeebers out of us. It was one of
our friends lying on the floor. And believe me, they accomplished their
goal. Just one more innocent night of fun from when I was a kid.
