I enjoy watching Season 2 of Gomer Pyle when I have a little time to spare. This week I saw a good Episode with Gomer endearing himself to a General's little girl with his child-like qualities. It featured TAGS veterans Amzie Strickland (Miss Rosemary & Home-buyer) as the girl's Nanny, and Mary Lansing (Martha Clark et all) as a caterer...but the one that really cracked me up was seeing the Bookie Barber(Herb Viagrin) as..a Barber, but a real one this time.
I wonder if he ever did Radio?? That's just a tip of the hat to Allan/s Podcasts, which I have been enjoying catching up, and hearing Floyd (the Barber) as Gunsmoke's Doc. I too am bummed that Mayberry in The Midwest could not come together this year again. New Castle IN is just about an hour from me here in the Hoosier State. Indiana is also home to the Mayberry Café..in Danville IN, the birthplace of Herb Viagran (Bookie Barber mentioned above) and home to Lots of TAGS fans.
