Gomer's automotive expertise only improved from his first filmed appearance on TAGS' 'Man in a Hurry' (1/14/1963) to his own series in 1967. Gomer's inexperience in auto repair could not help Malcolm Tucker, however, by the time of 'Gomer the Good Samaritan' (12/27/1967) he scored a 95% (of 100%) in vehicle repair in a Marine aptitude test.
