Hello This information just appeared in our local newspaper today. James Best guitar player Jim Lindsey from the Andy Griffith Show to visit his hometown in Corydon, Indiana: James Best will present two performances of his one-man show, "In His Own Words" at Hayswood Theatre in Corydon Friday, June 4 and Saturday June 5 both at 8 PM. Tickets are $30 each and include a reception with snacks to give attendees an opportunity to meet James Best. Tickets go on sale Monday April 5 at the Blaine Wiseman Visitor center in Corydon, Indiana. Cash or check accepted. Tickets are expected to sell quickly as the theatre only seats 70. A brief ceremony to honor Best will begin Saturday June 5 at 2 PM followed by a book signing at the Gerdon Youth Center in downtown Corydon (formerly Corydon High School), Indiana which was a school James Best attended in the 1940's. Best will autograph copies of his new autobiography, "Best in Hollywood: The Good, the Bad and the Beautiful." Copies of the book will be available for purchase for $25 at the event or can be ordered online at _www.jamesbest.com_ (http://www.jamesbest.com) Autographed photos will also be available for purchase. This is a free event open to the public. Prior to James Best arrival, the Historical Society of Harrison county will host an educational film festival on Monday, May 24 beginning at 4 PM at the Harrison County Community Foundation building in Corydon, Indiana (address is 1523 Foundation Way NE). This will feature a chronological marathon of highlights of Best's movie career, possibly including "The Guitar Player" from "Andy Griffith Show". This event is also free and open to the public.
