Has anyone else had a dream in which you found yourself in a TAGS episode? I
had a weird one the other night. Me and my buddy were hanging out in a
convenience store. We wanted a drink, but all they had were coconut and
canteloupe soda, and those were sold out. We were planning on going to
a combined Styx/Toto concert, and we had been asked to play in the concert
too. Anyway, then Goober drove up in a yellow convertible. Somehow in my
dream, I recognized a scene from an episode in which Goober did just that,
then he took a pocketknife out of his pocket for some reason. (There is no such
scene in any TAGS episode, but somehow it all made sense in my dream). Anyway,
I figured this was my one chance to figure out what brand of pocketknife Goober
carried, then I would have a great trivia question to stump everybody with. So
I asked him to show it to me, and the brand name was Kitchen Ware. It was a
sort of yellow Swiss Army knife, but all the
blades were the same odd unfamiliar shape (in my dream it seemed these were
some sort of tool that Goober would use in auto repair but I didn't ask him
what they were for).
Then a bit later, Floyd the barber was wearing a flashy new purple suit and
standing behind his brand new Cadillac. Randy Disher (the lieutenant on Monk)
was there, and he was wearing a similar suit, but gray. They started dancing in
the street behind the Caddy, then Floyd stopped dancing, and in a serious
voice, he said that was the first time he'd danced since his wife Fluffy was
murdered. The car was about a 1975 model (an El Dorado convertible, I think it
was), and Floyd looked like he did in the early episodes, when he was still
physically active.
Too bad we don't have a psychiatrist in town, I bet I'd be a real study.
