MOUNT AIRY, N.C. - The woman who portrayed Deputy Barney Fife's girlfriend
Thelma Lou on "The Andy Griffith Show" was robbed in 'Mayberry' earlier this
week, according to The Mount Airy News.

According to the paper, Betty Lou Lynn, 83, was robbed Sunday while at a
shopping center near downtown Mount Airy. Lynn told police a man grabbed her
wallet around 4 p.m. and fled. The wallet had $130 inside, according to the
Mount Airy Police Department.

Police were notified and after a short foot chase, the robbery suspect, Shirley

"fed up" with crime in Los Angeles. She said she had been victimized several
times

Guynn is scheduled to appear in Surry District Court on the robbery charge on
May 12.

I firmly believe that in every situation, no matter how difficult, God extends
grace greater than the hardship, and strength and peace of mind that can lead
us to a place higher than where we were before.
