The thing that always baffled me about Helen's aborted phone call was why Sarah wouldn't have immediately known where the call was coming from. Even if Sarah was on a long-overdue break from her switchboard duties, a call coming from Helen's house should have caused it to be mentioned to Gomer instead of just telling him that "they" had hung up.
