Folks, this entry may be a little late for our recent sharing of episode faves, but I just gotta sneak this one in. Right in the middle of a top rated episode, "Aunt Bee's Romance", resides an example of classic comedy at it's best in any medium-radio, TV, or movie. I am referring to the little vignette of Floyd and Andy sitting in front of the barber shop making small talk about the weather (92!). Howard McNear's timing, delivery, diction and facial expressions are beyond anything I've seen in the comedic world-a one of a kind.And the writing of this dialogue is superb! I may have to watch it again tonight.
