I feel that Andy, with his nearly infallible wisdom, knew that Barney would not be able to withstand the charms of the female prisoner, would succumb and allow her to escape, which is exactly what transpired until Andy abruptly arrived. I think he was briefly attracted to her, just like any man, but had the good sense to see her for the wicked person she was, PTL! Would that all should be so Godly, myself included.
