Under the bucket thinking..........hyperauntjan
Heres what I think might have happened to the people Aunt Jan asked about in
her previous letter
Ed Sawyer and Lucy Matthews never married....Ed Became V.P. in charge of
distribution for the Acme Oil Company and Lucy was hired as High School
Principal
Clara never married but took a job as advisor for ingredients at the Mayberry
Pickle factory
Helen's niece Cynthia was arrested for assaulting the Mayberry high school
football referee for a mistaken call of interference and later left town never
to be heard from again
Howard never married and later bought the real estate and insurance business in
mayberry becoming one of the most successful real estate developers in N.C.
Otis Campbell later bought the Remshaw property, tore down the house and built
The Big O Holiday Spirits Factory
The shoe salesman from Raleigh became an instructor for his shoe company in
training recruits in salesmanship
Besides Andelina, Charlotte and Dud had three boys. Briscoe II, Dud Jr., E.T.
Darling. Briscoe II later opened a house cleaning business and Dud Jr. became
a career soldier
E.T. Darling spent most of his time in the Mayberry jail for rock throwing and
girl chasing.
Newton Monroe became a millionaire when he developed a paint that could be
applied in blotches and spread itself over the surface to be painted
The North Carolina Supreme Court ruled that mouse traps in mail boxes was a
federal offense
at least thats some of the news I got from the Mayberry Gazette...or was it The
Mayberry Sun...........maybe someone else has heard something different you'd
like to share.
As Aunt Jan suggested...put the bucket on your head and take a think under
there.
