"I Love Lucy" was initially sponsored by Philip Morris, and it seems to me that
there was a lot more smoking featured in episodes during those early years. It
would be interesting to know if Chesterfield encouraged Andy to smoke on the
show. I've never heard this addressed before.<<<<
Hmmm... I was always under the impression that Andy smoked Raleigh, being that
he considered the brand Mount Pilot was more of a lady type cigarette.
Certainly he couldn't smoke Crawdad's, being a county sheriff and upholder of
the law an' such.
