Well, I'm plumb blushing! Kathy and Tom Rusk were so kind in what they said
about our place (the Taylor Home Inn) and about Dave and me. Let me tell
you, folks, that they are as nice as they make me out to be! I'm not
surprised, though...they're fellow Mayberrians and we all know that
Mayberrians are the finest kind of people that walk this earth!

I should mention, also, that we got such a kick out of the story they told
us about how Kathy is always being mistaken for Paula Deen (for good
reason!), and while they were here, they went to supper at a nearby
establishment, and they kept getting the sideways glances from some older
gentleman. Of course they were assuming that he was trying to decide if
Kathy was indeed Paula...and he came over after a bit, and said NOT to
Kathy, but rather to TOM, "Are you Don Johnson?" What a hoot!

I think the only person I resemble these days is Opie after he and Andy
cleaned their house good when Aunt Bee was gone: I'm POOPED!
--Marsha Scheuermann (if anybody wonders how to pronounce my last name, it
rhymes with 'fireman'. I tell my kindergarteners that every year, and every
year I spend about three weeks being called "Mrs. Fireman.")
