I was browsing through TV guide Magazine at a local store tonight, and
discovered a nice surprise. They had a fan-base poll of the favorite TV
guide covers for each decade, and guess who won for the 60's??

Well go ahead and guess.

The Andy Griffith Show. ((sorry I didn't let you guess) It was a 1961
cover with Opie and Andy. There was some mention of a new Kind of
Sheriff, the friendly kind. For you collectors its the one of Opie kind
of over Andy's head. I'm looking for an online link but have not found
yet, it just goes to a video where they talk about Lucy and some of the
other winners.

The covers were not only favorite pictures but they were iconic shows of
the decade like Lucy of the 50's Carol Burnett of the 70's Cosby,
Seinfeld and so on..and Any Griffith is the anchor of the 60s!!!

This is Big, it's really big!!

The Untrained Voice

I'm sad to share the news that Lindsay Browning did not get to advance
on America's Got Talent. After her stunning performance in the
audition, Magician Michael Grasso decided to perform on his own in Las
Vegas..and just like Jim Lindsey when he got the "Big head" about his
solo act, Grasso came tumbling down to earth and did not advance. He
should have kept that Deputy Daughter as part of the act.

I've been asked a few questions about Petey's letter to Ken, so I have
to give a full confession before I am leave for a week here. I made
Petey up, because I think at times I'm jealous of people Like Ken who
have more time to pursue their hobby/passion. Yes, he was a little like
Opie, but ornerier, kinda like me, when I was a boy.

This past weekend we wer at a zoo and had a great time with a couple of
giraffes, (no kdding) they came over to the fence and were reaching up
into a tree above us to try to get some leaves. At one point one of
them almost came down and licked my head, and my daughters,. One
resourceful guest found some leaves he could reach and fed them to one
of the giraffes by hand, and then the other. Do you think they
shared??? Of course not, Giraffes are sure selfish...just looking out
for ole number one, even when they are given a gift.

The Untrained Voice--still talking
