My wife and I had another wonderful stay at the Taylor Home Inn. We were in
Aunt Bee's room. It was a full house so we spent a lot of time doing
Mayberryisms with some very delightful Mayberry fans. Would you believe
this had been our eighth visit and we are returning again next weekend. The
strange thing is the wonderful aura that engulfs the inn was as strong on
this eighth visit as it was on our very first. The spirit of Mayberry does
not diminish over time - it only grows stronger and more evident everywhere.
The courthouse replica is indeed a wonder to behold. Deputy Ken even took a
nap on the cell cots and locked himself in. I will be posting some pictures
on my website and face book pages as soon as my desktop gets out of the
hospital. It picked up some kind of virus and technicians are working
frantically to keep it alive and functioning. Sometimes these electronal
marvels break down too. I am having them install bigger wires to see if
that will help.
