Aw...shucks...Ken you make me (Leonard) blush! So did Aunt Bee of Orlando.
It's so gratifying to read folks' reviews about our inn here, knowing that
our labor of love is appreciated and enjoyed!

And it won't be long before I can spill the beans about our big news. I'll
just say right now that it's the "BEST kind of news we can think of to tell,
and even JIMMY the goat would have wanted to come to town to see the event!

In addition to Barbara's comments about the AARP article, I'd like to add
that, in the write-up about Andy, which included some mighty nice words
about our own Ken Anderson and myself on behalf of the Taylor Home Inn, the
gentleman who wrote the article did a bang-up job trying to explain the
charisma that Andy possesses. However, no one can really understand it
unless they watch the show. My standard answer when I am asked, "Why this
house? Why that particular show?" is:, "If you have to ask, I can't explain
it to you. If you watch the show, no one *has* to explain it to you!"

I would like to add that right now, on the AARP website, there are three
recipes from me. They are all Mayberry-like in some way. One is for yeast
biscuits that my grandmother used to make, and the recipe is one I think Bee
would have liked. One is for a baked apple pancake that we serve here at
the inn, and the third is for refrigerator (sweet) pickles. I told the
editor that we feel so bad for Bee that she couldn't make a good ol' home
pickle, so I felt it was time that she had a good recipe.

I don't know how long the recipes will stay online, but they were just put
online a couple of days ago.

On a different note, can anyone tell me the episode(s) where you can see the
burned-out hotel from the movie "Gone With the Wind" in the background shots
during street scenes? Thanks in advance!
