That can't be.....the car that Andy and Opie were going to push was the squad
car. If you remember, Barney said something to the effect of "Unlawful
tampering with an official vehicle." while getting ready to write Andy another
ticket.
My conclusion is that Barney, Floyd and the other guy drove out to Sam's house
in Floyd's car and while Barney went inside the two men waited outside in the
bushes. Posses usually ride together, just ask Sheriff Dillon. One thing that
will catch a trained noticer's attention is how often Andy throws his cigarette
to the ground when he's finished. He doesn't even take the time to snuff it out
with his foot. Shame on him! Another "notice" is that apparently there are no
female smokers in Mayberry - good for them!
