There was a posting here yesterday about Clyde Barrow's death car. Since Bonnie and Clyde were killed May 23, 1934, of course the car could not have been a 1937. Actually the automobile was a 1934 Ford V-8. Clyde stole the automobile from Jessie Warren of Topeka, Kansas. After the car was filled full of holes, and Bonnie and Clyde were removed, the automobile was returned to Jessie Warren. I bet the Warren family has wished a thousand times that they had kept the car, but they sold it to a traveling carnavil for $3,000. The next time it was sold it was bought by a casino owner in Primm Nevada for $250,000. A million dollars probably would not touch it today. At this very minute, it is on display at the casino in Verdi, Nevada, West of Reno on the California border. Viewing is free, but you are no longer allowed to sit in the car or touch the car. Here is a real good website if you are interested. http://texashideout.tripod.com/bc.htm _______________________________________________ WBMUTBB mailing list [email protected] http://www.mayberry.com/tagsrwc/wbmutbb/
