After some research ordnance is ammunition or explosives and ordinance is a ocal law. Sorry to have missed out on this one folks, but being an "expert lawyer" I can tell you beyond a reasonable doubt that Ordinance is a local law, and ordnance is a supply of weapons, ammunition, etc.... (In real life I am a municpal lawyer and enforce ordinances all day long in court) Now here in the South, however, the two words are probably pronounced in an identical manner which adds to the confusion.
