I've gotten badly behind in reading my E mails; I've had a strange
"compelshion" to finish my model railroad, which shows selected parts of my
home town of Newport, Delaware in 1970. Even then, small towns everywhere
had vestiges of Mayberry ways. Like how my Great Grandfather was still
remembered for his tendency to punch somebody if the town baseball team
(which had three of his sons on it at one time) lost. I'm afraid it was not
a "boop" punch like Floyd's. Or how my Grandfather, as Coach, owned The
Official Water Dipper that everybody used; no concern for catching diseases
then! That old water dipper is still one of my proudest possessions.
