The CNN Web site posted a story at
http://www.cnn.com/2010/SHOWBIZ/09/16/accent.dialect.true.blood/index.html?h
detailing how dialect coaches train actors and actresses how to speak in the
dialect which their particular role demands. Extensively quoted is dialect
coach Robert Easton, the Henry Higgins of Hollywood, who played Pete
Johnson, one of Ellie Walker's (Elinor Donahue) suitors in TAGS episode 5,
Irresistible Andy. Easton also played Elinor Donahue's beau on Father Knows
Best.

Although not quoted in the CNN article, another busy dialect coach with TAGS
and Gomer Pyle U.S.M.C. connections is Joy Ellison who, as a child actress,
appeared in six TAGS episodes (The Christmas Story, The Beauty Contest. Andy
Forecloses, Opie's Most Unforgettable Character, Mayberry Goes Hollywood and
Opie's First Love), and one Gomer Pyle U.S.M.C. (Luv Finds Gomer Pyle).
