As the Return to Mayberry show approached, I imagined Aunt Bee still in the
house on Maple Road, but Clara had moved in with her. They were still active
in their various clubs and the church, albeit at a slower pace. The ladies
would be babysitting Opie's children thru the years as long as they were
able. But I do believe they would've long since stopped competing in pickle
contests at the Fair and flower contests with the garden club!
