Well, seeing Aunt Bee would no longer be a spring chicken in "Return to Mayberry" I would imagine she would be spending a lot of her time just sitting on the front porch with Opie and his family enjoying all the memories of raising Andy and Opie. I would imagine she would have a hand in helping to raise Opie's children as well. Most likely many of her friends would no longer be with her so her "Golden Years" would definitely be bittersweet. I would imagine she shares many stories with Opie's children about what Mayberry was like when Opie was young and how there have been many changes. But knowing Aunt Bee as we do, I would suspect she would take all the changes and challenges that confront her each day the same way she faced all her problems in the past. With dignity and grace, for she was indeed a real lady. It would be nice to see a handsome man sitting beside her holding her hand during the final years of her life, but being she never seemed to be destined for holy wedlock, I am sure she accepted her way of life as a gift of God and realizes that she was truly blessed with all the family and friends who were a part of her life.
