Hey, Mayberry friends. I've read the post from Larry in CO, and I think name tags for the WBMUTBB chapter is a great idea. Since we seldom see each other, a name tag with your name, home town, etc. would identify us to others at any Mayberry event. Someone bring it up in July or August of next year before Mayberry Days and maybe we could make it happen.
When we attend Mayberry Days or anything in Mt. Airy, we've made it a tradition to stop at the "Diner" in Dobson for at least one meal. It's located on Interstate 77 at exit 93 and is right on the way if you're coming from the south. The help is always friendly, serve the typical diner fare and we always talk about Mt. Airy and Mayberry Days. I think just the name "The Diner" makes you feel you're at home. (They didn't pay me to say that.)
