I haven't researched this, but I thought some of y'all might know already. I'm far more fascinated by another speaking impaired extra, though I have heard his voice amidst some others in the backgroung, I think. I know he was arrested by acting Sheriff Fife. Who was the guy holding the ladder for Otis to escape from the Rock (in addition to countless other appearances). I've seen him with Nellie. I recently saw him on a bus with Lucy and Ethel during a celebrity home tour of Hollywood, and I felt like I really knew him. I'm afraid I live in Mayberry more often than Shelby. Joseph P.
