I know this sounds like something Barney would have, but I really do have a book called "Scholars on Parade: Colleges, Universities, Costumes, and Degrees" by David A. Lockmiller. In the section about "Degrees and Their Abbreviations" there's no PhG listed. The typical pharmacy degree is a PharmD.
