Thanks for that info about muskrats being used for rugs. I went back and
retrieved the muskrat albeit is in rather bad shape due to rain and being
run over a few times by cars and trucks. You were right about the tag.
There was one inside but it is barely legible. I could make out a Made in
Bangladesh tag and also the partial on a name. First name is Elmer and the
last name began with an S and there was an "m" in the word. You don't think
I actually found the hairpiece belonging to a man named Elmer Schwump? I am
doing an online search of companies in Bangladesh that produces hairpieces
made from muskrat pelts and I will have them check their sales records going
back to the 1960's. I will let you know what I find out.
