No one has mentioned Bert Miller, the door to door salesman. I think I would
like to be him. I have the suitcase and the experience. My first sales job was
selling religious wall hangings when I was in 7th grade. I sold 25 and made
$5.00 commission. My next job was to sell light bulbs to earn a baseball glove.
The kid that sold the most in the allotted time would get the glove for free. I
was the winner. Then later I tried Fuller Brushes, this would be more in line
with what Bert sold. After that I thought I would try Amway and Amzoil..Amzoil
was a high viscosity synthetic oil that sold for $ 8.00 a quart back in 1983.
But I soon learned that both of these jobs were pyramids and the only one
making a living was the guy at the top...Door bells didn't bother me back in my
school days B/C I lived in the country and no one had door bells...So I
wouldn't have a problem there. Bert was a well dressed, well mannered gentleman
who folks could really take kindly
 too...
