Hey, Mayberry friends. We all know how much the folks in Mayberry like home
made ice cream.("Why make it when you can buy it at the store?".... Ronald
Bailey.) Opie likes to sit on the freezer while someone turns the crank and
thats what I did when I was a lad. Well, let me tell ya' what we've done this
week. With a rare Christmas Day snowfall, the snow was light and fluffy,
perfect for making snow cream, and it's so good. A little cream, vanilla
flavoring, and lots of snow and you have the makings for a super wintertime
treat. Because snow is so rare in our area, I think it makes it extra special.
Now folks in northern climes (Eau Claire, WI) probably don't think much of it,
but it's great when you're from the south.
