Yikes! Can you imagine "The Christmas Story" with the moonshiner replaced by a meth lab operator?? I don't even want to think about that! Obviously, several people have had fun trying to imagine Mayberry as it might be today. I especially enjoyed reading the last post in Friday's digest (don't know who wrote it; it wasn't signed). However, I have to go along with Ken on this one. To me, the magic of Mayberry is that it is the one constant in a world of change. So I would see Mayberry as being in a time warp with everything and everyone being just as they were in the sixties. At least, that's how I *want* it to be!
