Hey Wilbur, I was sure I saw a pair of shoes just like Big Maude's in the
trunk of Newton Monroe's car. Of course I suppose it is possible he got
damaged goods from the Manhattan Shoe Company and sold those. Maybe the
heels fell off after a few days.
