For what it's worth (not even 2 cents), my growing up years in NC included the years of TAGS' first run. One of my classmates had the last name Crump. I don't know if his family came from Kansas.
Also, my grandmother was a Poovey - and of the Pooveys I knew, one of 'em was nicknamed "Goober." Even though she may be a somewhat distant cousin, LouAnn sure looks good to me!
