Ken, my friend. I invite you to move to Salem, VA. We don't have all of the
things you miss, but we do have a few. I get my hair cut by a barber in a
barber shop. There are several in town. The one I go to is a great place for
conversation and talking about local and national events. We also have a
locally
owned drug store that still has a soda fountain. They make the best orangeaid
and lime-aid around. Use real fresh fruit. Lastly we have a locally owned
dairy that will deliver milk and other dairy products right to your door. You
even get an old fashioned milk box for your porch. It's a bit pricey, but real
good. At Christmas they make the best egg nog I have ever tasted.
Come on down south Ken, I'll even invite you to the Lutheran Church I belong to.
