The AFL-NFL Championship (Superbowl I) occurred on January 15, 1967 (Green Bay Packers 35, Kansas City Chiefs 10), one day before 'A Visit to Barney Fife' (1/16/1967) originally aired. Barney and Opie mentioned Baltimore Colts quarterback Johnny Unitas in TAGS' 'Opie Flunks Arithmetic' (4/19/1965). (The 1964 Baltimore Colts finished 12-2 with Johnny U. receiving the NFL MVP award.) Unitas soldiered on in Superbowls III and V. Superbowl V transpired on the cusp of the CBS rural slaugther of 1971. Don Knotts and Johnny Unitas later surfaced in the Disney film 'Gus' (1976).
