I doubt Andy and Barney were union members but I do recall Barney being upset
about all the tax dollars being taken out of his check. He bemoaned all the
"freeloaders" on the government payroll until Andy, as usual, set him straight
with a reminder that they were on the payroll.I know Andy later worked for the
post office, so he might have joined up then. and Barney may have become a
union member when he worked as a detective in Raleigh.Tom in South Dakota
