Ken, Susan, and Bob, I agree! It would be awesome to see Jack Benny on an episode of TAGS. Seeing him get a ticket for speeding or jay-walking would be priceless. I don't think I've ever seen Jack in a scene with Don Knotts. Does anyone know if they ever acted together?
You know, most of the classic actors from the "Golden Age" of Hollywood underwent such intensive training in order to earn their keep, so to speak. They could act, sing, dance...versatility was the name of the game, and that spills right into TAGS. Another goodie from the Jack Benny television show is the Christmas show in which Mel Blanc plays the distraught gift wrapping clerk. If Mel Blanc hadn't heeded the Looney Tunes calling, he 'coulda' been one of 'dem' physical comedians. Well, he really was, and then he went into the 'voice game.' That sounds like something Barney might say.
