Anyway, there are windows like my parents house: one long plate glass with. Two sashed windows on either side. This is true for all 3 court house windows. As far as I could tell they were not open that much, but with the nice breezes they would get, why not have them open. And, I am sure they didn't have ac then. Hope this helps.
