Sorry, but I'm amending or adding to my own last posting: Related to heating appliances mentioned above, there was also the gas stove in the Mayberry Courthouse. How could I forget that? Some of you have written that this stove sat in the corner where the "invisible door" was located in earlier episodes. It was at this stove where Andy staged his asphyxiation for Gomer's benefit, hoping to convince Gomer that things were now "even" in terms of mutual life-saving measures. Ken, I agree with your philosophical observations. These rack up there right at the top of our reasons for clinging to Mayberry and TAGS.
