All this talk about oysters and snails got me thinking. What do you get when you cross an oyster and a duck? Oyster Quackers. When we were in Sweden a few years back we spent Midsummer on the island of Ramso. There were huge snails all over the island. Apparently years ago someone brought some there to raise to eat and some escaped and now they are almost out of control. But the islanders gather them and eat them. They are really huge. But apparently it takes a long time to prepare as you have to do something to remove all the sand from their innards. Good thing Andy and Helen didn't go there on their honeymoon or he would have been stepping on a lot of them.
