Our local station ran the "Barney on the Rebound" episode where he was sued for breach of promise and there was a nickname we left out, or at least I didn't see it. Squirt. Melissa (Gladys) Stevens called him that and then Andy said he couldn't figure out why a girl as pretty and big city as her would want to get involved with a Squirt. It was funny, I don't care who you are. Holland, there were several episodes of Gomer Pyle, USMC that mirrored Mayberry episodes. One that always comes to my mind is the one where Sgt. Carter saves Gomer's life and then tries to make it look like Gomer saved his life to pay him back. That episode is just like "Andy Saves Gomer" right down to the leaky gas stove.
