I freely admit that I watched Scooby-Doo in 1972 (I turned 8 that year). For them that don't know, there have been many different incarnations of Scooby-Doo over the past 40-odd years. The original show was Scooby-Doo, Where Are You? which began in 1969 and is probably still airing on cable. The second incarnation was The New Scooby-Doo Movies, which started in 1972. This was a series with the whole "Scooby" gang, but each episode had a guest star or stars. As previously stated, Don Knotts appeared not once, but twice on this series. This series has not been seen much in recent decades, as the kids of today have no idea who most of the guest stars are/were (Jerry Reed, Mama Cass, Laurel and Hardy, Sonny and Cher, etc.) and furthermore, it's nearly impossible to secure the rights to put all of those various guest stars on DVD.
I do still love many classic cartoons, especially Looney Tunes / Merrie Melodies and the original Jonny Quest. Many TAGS actors voiced characters on Jonny Quest (there, I'm back on topic at last!) --Paul Mulik >>>Paul, in Monday's post, you know you just admitted, in writing, for all the world to see, that you watch Scooby Doo. You need to be more careful. You, like John Masters, have somewhat of a reputation in this part of the state. I wouldn't want this Scooby Doo thing to get out. dan _______________________________________________ WBMUTBB mailing list [email protected] http://www.mayberry.com/tagsrwc/wbmutbb/
