It was storming late this afternoon, so it gave me a good excuse to put off the
yardwork and plop down in the recliner. Turned on my favorite channel, The
Western Channel, (If your cable company does not have that they should get it),
anyway I watched a couple of hours. Wagon Train, Have Gun Will Travel, and
Gunsmoke. Well wouldn't you know it, on Wagon Train there were a bunch of
orphans, and who do you think was one of them? Howie Pruitt. Then on Have Gun
Will Travel, Mr. McBeevee was the sheriff of the town. Finally here came
Gunsmoke. And do you know what happened? Very first thing, Matt walks out
into the street and shoots Thelma Lou's first husband. And then the main story
was about Colonel Harvey marrying an Indian woman. You know he told Opie that
he lived amoung the natives.
It got me to thinking that it would be hard to turn on just about any 50's and
60's western show without seeing some TAGS alumni.
Orville Hendricks - The Butter and Egg Man. We don't tell it around much
outside the family, but Evan was the star of the television show "Fury".
