Well my wonderful wife for the last 48 years has lately been thinking of changing her first name from Helaine to Lainey even though I tried to convince her that great and creative people think that the name is upper class.
The professional book publishers believed that or why else would they want to change Helen Crump to Helaine Alexia Dubois. After expending my best efforts, going so far as trying to convince her to put the bucket on her head and just thank about it, she handed me the bucket and said ,"just call me Lainey". I guess I will wear the bucket and see if I can thank of some thing other than Louis, even though it has served me for well over 70 years.
