Hey Folks,
I haven't been writing into the Digest for a while. I've been reading,
but not writing.
One reason is that I've been working on other areas of "Mayberry" trying
to help grow our Mayberry community on the Internet. You might ask,
"How have you been doing that?" Well, I'm glad you asked. :)
We all love the Digest and it is a mainstay of my day but do you guys
realize that there are other ways to communicate with Mayberry folks
throughout the day? I know...that's a surprise to many because why
would we want to move past visiting here on the WBMUTBB Digest. I
completely understand that thinking but there are many folks out there
that enjoy talking more directly to one another than through our
wonderful Digest. For them, and for you to try if you'd like to, I have
several options.

Miss Crump's is what it says, an online forum for folks to visit and
leave comments about all kinds of things. We've been working over there
to make it a friendly place for any Mayberry fan to visit. It's based
on the them of Mayberry Union High so you'll see sections like Art
Class, Recess, The Cutlass, and of course Miss Crump's Blackboard (for
talking about anything to do with Mayberry). There's even a section
called Podcasts About Mayberry for talking about the two Mayberry
related podcasts so folks can discuss what's said on those shows.
Sarah's Party Line (online chat room)

Sarah's has been around for a long time but I've recently remodeled the
place to make the room easier to use. I also tied Sarah's Party Line
into the Two Chairs No Waiting Podcast's chat room so you can get to the
same room from two places. The only time folks are regularly in the
chat room is from about 7 to 8 pm CT on Monday nights during the live
recording of the Two Chairs podcast. You can, however, arrange a time
to meet up with folks and visit by posting something at Miss Crump's or
even here on the Digest.

I'm sure you've heard about the podcast and I hope you've given it a
listen by now. I've been doing the show for, well...October will be 3
years now. As I mentioned above, I've been doing a live version of the
show on Monday nights for several months and there are normally about
10-12 Mayberry folks in the chat room on Monday nights at 7pm until 8pm
CT. Folks chat with one another while I do the live streaming show and
after I visit with them playing music from Mayberry, showing things that
I've collected over the years, and in general having a good Mayberry
time together.
I've been working hard to make a place for EVERYBODY in Mayberry. I
hope some of you will take advantage of some of these additional options
to get to know your fellow Mayberry fans. There are WONDERFUL people in
this world and thankfully we have a chance to get to know some of the
best of them even better thanks to this amazing thing called the Internet.
I hope I'll see you in a few of these places. Give 'em a try and I
think you'll enjoy yourself.
