Dewey, Thanks for waking up the group with this topic. It certainly was good to see two digest in one day after two days of only two posts each.
My favorite would have to be when Opie felt jealous and sabatoged miss Peggy's messages and at the end Andy talked with Opie on the porch and told him how important he was to him. He said "Your my son and I love you more than anyone or anthing, you're a part of me" The love of Mayberry folks stood out through the whole run of the show, whether it was Andy doing something to make someone else look good or take the credit, especially towards Barney's benefit. This was always evident especially in the black and white episodes when the real writers worked hard to keep the theme of Mayberry alive. Just my opinion!!
