I watch at least one episode each day of both TAGS and Leave it to Beaver. One thing I have noticed. While the Cleaver's are always after Wally and Beaver to take baths, I can only remember one time during the entire 8 years of TAGS that Opie had to take a bath. And that was when Malcolm made him and Andy bathe before dinner. Are there any other times when Opie was told to take a bath? There must be but I just cannot remember them. Help me out here folks. Now I grew up when baths were a weekly event rather than daily. We didn't have a water heater ( notice I didn't say hot water heater) until I was in high school, so with four kids in the house it was a real chore to have to heat up all that water on the top of a stove. And we didn't have central heating either, so in the winter taking a bath was really an unpleasant occurrence. I was so happy when I got to high school and we were required to take a shower after phy ed. I had phy ed every day too, so that was wonderful.
